xA vs xB

xA vs xB
I gotta say I'm starting to dig the xA more than the xB. I'm just lookin at it from a uniqueness standpoint. Yes the xB is the one of the most unique designs to come along and I have been in love with it until I saw how many people are choosing it over the xA. There are 6 times more xB's on this site than xA's. Scion's aren't even for sale in my state yet and I've seen 5 or 6 xB's. I just think that if I want to be TRULY unique (which is what Scion is all about), then I should get the xA. Any thought? Plus, I save $2,000 I can use to get a turbo and smoke all the xB's in town!!!

nobody is ever unique really short of building a kit car.
everybody has seen any given brand name car lowered, with neat wheels, and a big exauhst pipe before.
focus on what you will enjoy driving!
the XA is lighter and therefore quicker, and looks better to me, and cheaper, so I got it.
if the xb looks neater to you, and the extra room is useful, get it.

I would have gotten an xA.
But honestly, the xB is just THAT much more practial for me. It's my only drivable car as of right now. If I had another and didn't all the space, I get the xA... But when you sit inside one, then sit inside the other. It's like night and day.

that's true about the interior room. and i was talking to my sister and she made a good point. if you see an xA driving down the street, you just see another car. if you see an xB, you see something that you don't see everyday. back to the xB for me i guess! :D

wow. seeing this thread surprises me that a thread like this hasn't been made before. and yu guys go off with yer "xbs vs. elements."
i like the style of the matrix, but the car is too big. i like small cars. toyota answerd my prayers with the xa. i just wish it has more pwr!

I originally wanted the xB but, what do I need all the room for. I figured the xA is all I need to drive around West Hollywood and like mentioned earlier you can put the rear seats down for all your crap when needed. Plus the xA is $2000 cuter!

In my opinion, both the xA and the xB turn heads anyways, so it all just depends on what fits your needs better. With me, I saw the xA to be more practical and I just like how its a little more sporty-er looking.

xa looks more sporty, i like the fact that it looks like a mini matrix... i was gonna get the xrs matrix but ended up getting the xa because it was something different. needs more power and the xrs hit that department nicely, especially with the 6th gear, also what these things need... but when i was looking at the xa no one had one, just a bunch of xbs around town and the xb wasn't my style. i bag on boxy cars all the time, i've gotten used to the xb, but still wouldn't want to own one. xa gots nice style.

I bought an xA.....the xB was just a tad too urban for this former country boy. I was especially turned off by the "pouty" lower lip of the front bumper, and the low-riding carriage that made you feel like it would never clear a cattle guard or railroad crossing.....
Now if I had more money than good sense (wishful thinking!) I'd buy an xB, strip off both bumpers, replace them with vintage Model A bumpers, jack the suspension up till you have at least a foot of ground clearance, then wood-grain the nine-spoke wheel covers----voila! The Model A of the 21st Century!....
