Default 04 XB, 25,000 miles......transmission dead

i just picked up my new/used xb with 25,000 miles on friday march 2nd, and i realized that the transmission was grinding when i was downshifting,...i drove it till monday and brought it to the dealership.....turns out i had a few stripped gears and a few bad synchros.......at 25k???? wow...so i got a brand new transmission and as soon as i got into the car i realized i couldnt get into 1st or 2nd gear. so im still to this minute without my xb that i purchaced....im in a rental....my old xa had problems with the clutch slipping at 7k miles....now this

when they fixed it they probably just put the cables in wrong. I hope my tranny doesn't go out that soon but it sounds like the guy you got it from was a total turd and didn't know how to drive a 100hp car. Good luck!

37 with heavy wheels and tourist traffic...

still is working great...

last owner must have either not known how to drive a stick or beat it all to hell

Honestly, how do you do a burnout like that? I tried not long after I bought mine and had mad wheel hop. Since then, I've never tried again for fear of breaking something.
