Default 2006 xA Clutch Replacement

Howdy all. New here. Not posting for me. It's my Mom's car and her clutch started slipping. its got 77,xxx miles on it. Shes always been hard on clutches. I'm the one that maintains the vehicles in the family. I'm looking for recommendations for clutches.
It's her car and she cares nothing about pep or speed or horsepower. She is the opposite of me. She just wants it fixed. Here's the thing. I don't want to do another clutch job on this thing ever if that's possible. so something that's close to stock that's durable.

Thanks in advance.
Devon

For something with more holding capacity over stock, I'd recommend Exedy stage 1. Any upgraded clutch over stock will have a stiffer pedal though, so just beware of that.

I'm not a salesperson, I'm a tech... Just give us a call whenever, tell whomever you talk to Justin referred you to purchase an oem clutch with us.

Default clutch change procedure

The stealership just quoted me $1325 to change out my '06 xA's clutch. I'd expect dinner and even a ring for that price. Do I need to pull the entire engine and trans out the bottom like the dealership said,or can I pull the driveshafts out, and pull the gearbox seperate? (like I did last month on my kid's Dodge Daytona)

Autozone doesn't list a clutch kit for the xA. They list one for the Echo and for te Yaris for $119. I know they are nearly the same car. The dealership saiid the pressure plates have a different part number. Will the Echo/Yaris clutch kit work for my xA.

BTW, new clutch at 77,000? I've got 262,000 on my xA, and the clutch just started slipping this week.

Ouch. I got 262,000 miles...and it actually stopped slipping. Guess it is because I paid my tithing on Friday. The dealer says the disc and TO bearing are the same. I guess I can get the kit from AutoZone, and of the pressure plate is different, I can buy the dealer's one for $117. Just not looking forward to tearing the car apart.
