if i recall correctly, the 6-speed from the celica gt-s fits up to the engine just fine, but you have to notch the frame to get it to fit, don't know if it has been successfully done though really...you'll have to dig through some old threads in the xa/xb drivetrain forum, try SEARCHING

I know what you need to do to swap a 6 speed, I and others have posted it up many times here in the past so please use a search.

you know if people gave a decent title the there thread (like i did and always do) it would make the search alot easier.
istead you get stuff like "question", "help", or "tell me what you think"

The tranny in that Ebay listing is not for a Celica, infact its not even for a front wheel drive vehicle, actually its not even for a Toyota.

Nope its FWD. You can also try the Corolla XRS and Matrix XRS as well since they share the same engine & tranny (not the current gens though because they all reverted back to 5 speed).

Find/get a C160 from a AE111 Levin which comes with a mechanical LSD
- Remove your old bell-housing and attach it to your C160
- Notch almost 2 inches off your framerail to allow clearance for the C160 since its a longer thansmission case
- Get Corolla S axel seals

After you do what I listed, everything matches up, including your axels and clutch.
Good luck finding one, and yes this the only one you can use on a 1NZ-FE

This information is tested and is legit, since Wraith personally told me this what needs to be done, and its what he did to his car.

Let me know if and when you find one since. I'm looking for onme myself, turst me they are not easy to find, and when you do find one you might have to pay a pretty penny for it.
