Hi all, my xb is going to be 60,000 miles in the coming month. What suggestions of maintence should i do for my xb? I heard that xb is not running on a timing belt but chain, rite? If so, what do i need to maintian? Pls kindly advise..

oil change(prefer synthetic)
rotate/balance tires
air filter(unless cai, then clean)
flush tranny fluid(if AT)
spark plugs
fuel injection cleaning
check all fluids for dark or burnt color
check all brakes(rr may need adjusting)
check all belts and hoses(yes, we have a timing chain, but check the drive belts)

Maintenance
The manual sez the manual transmission contains oil. 90 weight I believe. The oil doesn't get near the clutch. If it did, the clutch would very soon slip. There's a nice big seal around the input shaft to keep the oil in the tranny and out of the clutch bell housing.
Honda calls their manual transmission oil "fluid". But then, back in the 90s, you just put engine oil in a Honda manual tranny. I guess they fancied it up over time.
There are a number of aftermarket transmission oils -- Redline, etc. -- that claim to offer performance advantages over run-of-the-mill transmission oils. You could check one out if you wanted to spend the extra money.
On the other hand, I'm not certain a change in tranny oil is even on the xB maintenance schedule.
Cheers,
