Default All Motor Xb-- ITB's?

ITB's on an Xb, has it been done yet?

Also, what numbers are people getting out an NA Scion Xb?

I don't think an ITB setup would work the best, given that the IM is in the front.

Also, you'd need alot of work already done to your engine to make the ITB's worthwhile.

Individual Throttle bodies.

It's 1 intake per cylinder.

Lets be realistic the car is slow, its always going to be slow, and thats fine...either your cool with that or you need to look at another car. These cars have other qualities besides speed to be worried about IMHO

that looks like too much air would be goin into the engine, but i have no idea how you can benifit from that.

well more air and more fuel equals more power. thats the benefit, but dmxsoulja is right, if you bought the xB to turn it into a racecar, you pretty much wasted your money. i love my xB because of its looks and the interior but ive come to accept that when it comes to putting the gas pedal to the floor, my huffy 10-speed has more get up and go. =-)

whats your point, engine size isnt the issue, its HP output, people put ITB's on 1.6L honda's like the B16 which come stock with 160hp. not 108hp in a box

In the front? have you seen a K20 honda with twm's?

It would be cool of someone would build a auto-x monster out of an Xb! The scion Xb i think would be a killer auto-x whip, People are throwing 8" wide tires under the box. good start. Yeah it lacks power but thats for the consumer to change! It just takes time!

I am soon to be a Xb owner and am feeling out the the ride!

what kind of power are people making NA?

ITBs would be the least of your worries.

There are more important things like cams, porting, polishing, etc. that would probably benifit the car more than ITBs. Regardless, the 1NZ-FE is not known for its big power outputs -- stock or modified. I personally wouldn't bother putting the money into it, IMHO.

I think i am going to do a celica gts swap and make motor mounts for the Xb. Do a mild P&P, Cams, Header and ITB's! But will see whats on the paper when it rolls around!

Make sure you do your research -- this is one of the most talked-about swaps for Scions. However, it's been determined that it'd be super difficult because of lack of space.

Thank you! I definately agree! Car will always be slow N/A wise unless you totally boost the crap out of it which isn't ideal on a daily driven vehicle. ITBs on a xB is pretty much worthless in my opinion unless you're going for the apperance factor in a show.

Even if you do a 2zz swap, you still wouldn't be able to use ITBs. I own a Celica too and are on the NewCelica.org forums and alot of 2zz owners are doing fine without ITBs. One member actually installed ITBs from a 20V 4AG and had trouble getting it to run. So many people bashed on the user for even p utting them on that it scared away the owner that she got offended by the opinions and never posted again. I was curious to see how that project turned out and if it was worth the trouble. There's so much more to the performance aspect of a 2zz than to throw ITBs on em in my opinion. With the latest devolpment in aftermarket cams for the 2zz, it's safe to say that a 2zz can well be in the 200whp range along with the other aftermarket goodies available.
