I WAS DETAILING MY CAR THIS SATURDAY AND NOTICED THAT MY CAI IS BROKEN. WHERE MY CAI BOLTS TO THE TOP OF THE BATTERY, THE ENTIRE MOUNT IS BROKEN OFF OF THE TUBE. I NOTICED THAT WHEN I REV THE ENGINE, THERE IS QUITE A BIT OF ENGINE ROLL, COULD THIS BE MY PROBLEM? I'VE CHECKED, AND MY ENGINE MOUNTS ARE NOT BAD, THE CAR ONLY HAS 12,000 MILES ON IT. ANY IDEAS?

 

which cai do you have? Where did you buy it?

sounds like she has the injen cai they sell replacement mounts but they aint cheap about 10 bucks a piece

 

The tab on my intake has been broken for months, doesn't see to cause any problems.

 

this is the one i have. and it is the little tab mount that broke off at the weld.

you could take it to a shop and have them weld it back on.

 

yep, an exhaust/ muffler shop could do it pretty quickly. the ebay page is temporarily down, so i can't see how much it originally cost you, but it may not be worth a $30 weld.

my mount has a habit of walking off of the battery tie, and i hear a little bit of a rattle whenever that happens.
