Default Bassani Aft-Cat Exhaust System

Hey guys, any info on Bassani?

http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts...0A2334319.aspx

Not a bad price for a cat-back, not sure if its dual or single exit cause not even the manufacture has a pic. So whats up??

yeah, i want to know also...the firm was big into motorcycle exhaust systems back in the 1970s/80s, then never heard from them...

Bassani is actually a very reputable company. They never went away. They still do exhausts for the automotive and motorcycle markets.

There isn't much about the xB exhaust on their site, but here is a link to an ebay add for the echaust. It appears to be an axle-back, not a cat-back.

Hmm, i think its weird that even the manufacturer is image-less. also it says after-cat system. i guess there is nothing to replace after the cat but the axel back section. this bites. Thanks for the find RT, the search continues. (well i might just settle on the magnaflow)

Care to elaborate? I just ran across this and would like to see it/hear about installs. It is a great price for a aft-cat system.

http://www.bassani.com/
they have the part number but absolutely no other info on the exhaust. All I know is that the mexicans around my town LOVE these exhausts on their trucks...or maybe they just love the decals...idk. But I've seen a Silverado with a Bassani setup and it sounds pretty nice...much like a Flowmaster (a little throaty but not that loud) Can't really compare that to a scion though...

Yeah, i checked out all the google results and nada. I don't want the Foldgers can sound, and would love something deeper and throat(ier) and not so loud at higher RPM's. I do a TON of highway driving and couldn't stand that sound behind me.

Anyone installed one of these yet? I think I may just end up getting it next week and see. Worst case, I'll just get something else and eBay it.

Any chance you could get some pictures of the kit? Especially the tailpipe/tip? It'd be greatly appreciated.

Please, please please do! I am ready to buy, I just want to see what the exhaust looks like/how it's constructed. I've heard Bassani on a Mustang with an X Pipe, but that's a V* ya know

so i e-mailed them a couple of questions and here is what they replied .....

1. Is it dual exhaust or single?
We only have a system for the Xb. It is single. (Sent you pics and instructions)

2. Is it only the exhaust tip or the whole system?
It is an exhaust system after the catalytic converter.

3. How much does it run for?
Stainless is MSRP $349.65 Aluminized is MSRP $254.19

4. Do you have samples of how it looks and sounds on a Scion?
Unfortunately no.

....... and finally

5. Is this ad real?
That picture is of a 2003 Mustang Cobra system. That is not a Scion system at all. But that is the cost for the Xb system.

I recommend you get everyone to send an email asking for/or demand of exhaust systems for the Xa and the TC, so that our R&D department can put that on the schedule. Go to this link and have everyone fill out the form.

here are the real pix i got yesterday from them ....

if u have any further questions just ask away and i'll get ahold of the sales rep. ... i might be calling them tomorrow cuz i have lots of questions

well, i had previously sent them e-mails from their 'contact us' section of their website...they NEVER responded back...i'm glad you got a response from them, I'm just sad that they responded to you only (perhaps) because your father and brother works at the firm....
