Default Big problems Help!

ok here is the situation.....driving last night and right after i shifted into second and gave it gas the car faded out and died.....felt identicle to a car running out of gas....but there is 3/4 of a tank in it, tried to turn it over and i am getting spark no problem but not getting any fuel it seemed.....checked all the fuses and the number 5 fuse under the hood(efi 15) was blown...replaced the fuse and as soon as i truned the key to acc it popped. well after about an hour and a half of eliviating what it could be we rulked out the whatever was making the fuse pop was not the fuel pump or injectors shorting.....checked the efi relay and it seemed to be ok.....anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this i need the car running by christmas day and of course dealers are out of the question.....please help

can i hear a run-down of all the electrical mods that you have, and the source of their power?

i have a full system and lighting mods but eveything is fused and sourced from the battery to my own switches nothing tapped into the fuse block of the car at all

also the wierd thing is that nothing changed at all on the car just gave it gas and it putted out.....so i am not really sure what could have happened to cause the fuse blow i was thinking possibly a bad relay.....or i know they are linked to the efi but not really directly my O2 sensors i have thrown an O2 code a couple times in the past 2 months

Unfortunately it sounds quite possibly like a "shorted" fuel pump. I work at a dealership and we've had this happen on a few occasions.
Of course, this is what I'm thinking it is and I hope, for your case, it isn't...
BTW, you stated above when you replace the fuse and when you put the key into "acc", it blows. This is a dead give away that it's the fuel pump...

exactly what i was thinkin but i diconnected the harnesses to the fuel pump and replaced the fuse and it still popped......so i pretty much figured that would prove the short is coming from elsewhere

You might want to perform an "ohm" reading on the harness from the fuel pump harness connector to the fuel pump fuse cause it also sounds to me you might have a "shorted" wire somewhere. Hopefully you have a multimeter.

well after 2 days of digging and check harnesses and reading electrical scematics i think i may have figured it out......seems the ECM screwed up which would actually be good considering that is aboutn the only part of my car still warrantied.....but the only way to find out for sure would be to have the dealer look at it and if its noty then i am gonna get charged out the ___ soooo i came up with a solution take the ecu out of a good box drop it in and see if she runs if so then vioula we know the problem if not then gotta start digging again.
