Default A/C Compressor/fan cycling off and on..

I have a 2005 xB and when my A/C is running, I notice that the fan/compressor keeps cycling off and on every 20-30 seconds or so.

Is this normal?

it's a little out there. it should cycle somewhere in range of 10-20 seconds but it largely depends on the outside temp. I believe your system is fine. You can double check
with a gauge and see if the low side pressure reading is around 29-34psi. anything higher (>40psi) is too much and results in the A/C system blowing warm air instead.

So it should cycle quite frequently.

The A/C blows nice and cold but I'll check the low side and see what it reads.
