Camcon
I tried to search for info on the camcon's benefit but, no luck.
A Few Questions!
I know you can control some AF attributes/VVT-i with it but any numbers on it? (Hp)Anybody got one? If I had a head port, would the camcon's AFC suffice for the lean mix?

i have a camcon, but havent really found any use for it... I did lean out the low end a bit to accommodate for larger injectors, but i dont think this unit works as well as a V-Tec controller on a Honda. Ive heard of many people trying to tune their engines with the camcon but have had no luck. Other have tried to do a N/A setup witht he camcon and have found only 1 HP or no HP at all, some even loose power.
Maybe for what your looking for it just might work, you will be able to pump more gas into your cylinder with the camcon, but your cam tuning will be out of whack. As soon as you install the camcon all your cam settings go to 0 degrees. If you don't adjust the camcon your self you might actually loose power, due to the fact that the cam isn't advancing or retarding as it should. If some how you can figure out the advancing or retardation numbers for the cam on a stock ECU then you should have no problems. But the trick is figuring out this number because depending on how you drive is how the VVT-i reacts.
If you want to use the camcon i recommend some dyno time before and after to make sure you don't loose power. I still haven't ran my xA on the dyno, but its definitely on the top of my to-do list.
BTW, you wont find much info on the camcon here on scionlife because nobody has said good things about the unit. I risked it and it worked for me, but i dont know if it will work for you. tC engine is much bigger then the xA...

the one Apex makes doesn't control the VVT-i, so i think that should do you some good. Just remember our computers are 64bit, which makes them "learning computers", in other words piggybacks (Apex S-AFC II, Camcon, EManage, etc...) are sometimes rendered useless due to this. The piggyback is going to tell the ECU to do one thing and the ECU is going to want to do another. Thats why is always such a PAIN IN THE A$$ to tune these cars. It should do the trick if you plan on messing with the AFR, but remember the more your throttle the car the more aggressive the computer will tune the Fuel Map and hence the conflict between piggyback and ECU begins.
