Default Celica Throttle Body swap?

Is possible, and has anyone here done it? I think I might and I wanted to know if you have to change anything on the Celica throttle body to get it to fit on our cars.

well more air + fuel= more power! but it gets to a point of doing nothing. The 1nz mite be at the with the stock throttle body and intake manifold but we will see if devious gets it to work.

Come on. There is no piont in doing something like this unless it has become a restriction for the motor. just because a throttle body is bigger does not mean you will benefit from it

Our throttle bodies are just about at max flow for our motors, only thing would be to go with one about the size of the 1.8 Corolla.

And for those that talk about not doing any good on a stock motor, a good example is the throttle body swap done on Neons. with them going to a TB from an auto trans, which was larger, gave about 20 more hp. Have done it before.

For those thinking of boring one out, look at the ECHO forums, they have done it and it works.

I would do a junkyard, but they don't always allow you to return it. When you get one from the dealership and it doesn't fit, you can return it and get a refund. The only thing they might do is charge you a re-stocking fee.

6hp at the wheels, not 20. I dyno'ed it myself in 1998, before it was a "known" easy mod.

Anyways, I doubt it would do much for our Scions though. But there's only one way to find out!
