Clutch slipping, need recommendations please
My clutch slipped big time this morning on my way to work. I've read that this is a known weak part in our cars.
I searched and looked at the Parts section but didn't turn up too much info. My questions are:
What is a good replacement for an xA with I/H/E mods?
Should I buck up for a lighter flywheel?

For most people, anything more than a "stage 1" or similarly named upgrade has too much effect on day to day driveability to be desirable. Unless you're willing to deal with harsh engagement and a stiff pedal...
Depends on you, and how you drive
As for brand, I'd talk it over with whoever will do the work, see what they'd recommend, what they're comfortable warranting... DIY requires serious tools and skills. Always use the wholekit- pressure plate, clutch disk, throwout bearing. Resurfacing the flywheel is a judgement call on the part of the installer, and an aluminum flywheel? dunno, but that, too can have an adverse effect on driveability... upgrading to a steel braided clutch line is a small additional expense, probably worthwhile whatever the other choices.
Gotta ask yourself what purpose the car serves, and who drives it. If it's a basic family commuter car, grocery getter and around town kid fetcher , then the answer can be different from a box driven by only one person who's willing to make compromises for slight performance gains... because that's all you'll really get. If you spend more time than you'd like stuck in traffic, then you'll appreciate a fairly light clutch pedal more than if you can just merge onto the freeway and go...

performance clutches aren;t too much more pedal pressure. as compared to how the engagement is compared to stock .
least on these cars
make sure you get the braided stainless steel clutch line as well. help's out a lot.
