Default DC Sports 4-2-1 Headers

I was just wondering if anyone here has installed the DCS 4-2-1 headers? I just ordered them for my xB and was wondering what to expect.

Here is a link to the ones I ordered:

Correct, it's a 4-1 design. Below is a link to the tech article. That's how I did mine. It's a wee tough to get the two spring loaded collector bolts off, but a little patience and it'll budge. But it's well worth it! Good luck.

You guys are correct. I just talked to DC Sports and they said that they do not make a 4-2-1 two-piece header. I let them know that Summit Racing is advertising it as a 4-2-1. Hopefully they will get that fixed. Thanks for the info!!

No prob, if the bolts really give you crap or are rusted a bit too much, use PB Blaster spray. I'm not sure if it's necessary or not, but I used it before actually trying to loosen them just to prevent stripping the bolts.

Your ride will sound awsome with the header. Do you have an intake also?

Good luck with the install and let us know if you have any additional questions.

its not that hard... just make sure to be careful with the screws, stock screws are very soft and you dont want to strip that... for the spring loaded springs i had no problem with it but you do need an extension bar to get to it (10 inch)

for power... engine breathes with more ease and with other bolt ons (intake, exhaust) you will really feel it specially on the top end.. sound badass too!

Very easy install as long as your careful and patient. I would recommend ordering a new exhaust manifold gasket from your dealer for $20. Make sure you have an extension or you won't get those spring loaded bolts out.

I used an eleven inch extension and went to the home depot and bought a piece of pipe to put on the ratchet for more leverage. Oh yeah it's worth it.
