If its like any other engine damper, it wont make the engine sound any louder. Its like a brace for the engine, keeps it from moving as much. This help stiffen up your drive line = less wheel hop from hard launches.

i was just about to ask about the engine dampner and its results, any visable changes on the dyno? or just the butt dyno?
any measurements of change on that movement? looks to be a 2-3mm movement before and a pretty stable hold after.

looks like a worthy mod to help put the power in all the right places. Are there any cons to something like this?

When I tossed some eurethane motor mounts into my MR2 Turbo, that really helped hold the motor in place, in addition to giving the car a nice gentle back massaging vibration

Has anyone compared how well these work to stiffer motor mounts? Of course, these things look to be considerably easier to install! I will probably get one.

the performance is the same if not slightly better because you can adjust the stiffness by extending the damper to make it harder.

I did the same mod to my 02 VW gti turbo and the differences where NIGHT and DAY!!! Better shifting, better launches, NO wheel hop and it prevents engine movement from breaking my downpipe.

But from what i've seen, Weapon R doesn't make the highest quality stuff. Unless they revamped all of their products. If it was Tein or something, then I would buy it.

ditto. have the ecs transmission bushing. gives the same effect. only bad side is added vibration at idle, and it feels like you're going to stall it when you start with a/c on. dunno how severe the difference is with the stuff on the xB though.
