Default Exhaust opinions/advice...

I am debating on a few things and input would be appreciated.

1) I have an old Apexi N1 Style round muffler I can simple add on for like 75-100 bucks axle back.

2) I could have another custom one made using the Magnaflow 14829 similar to the Precisionman setup for like 200+/- axle back.

3) I could do a Greddy Evo2 catback.

4) I'm not looking for raspiness. I'm more interested in a nice low tone similar to the precisionman axle back.

5) Performance isn't that important as this vehicle is not going to be racing around anything, so HP gains are not important.

Lastly and most importantly, would it be better to just do a catback to remove the restriction and increase the flow and possibly getting more mileage using like a 2.25 inch pipe? I am shooting for low tone with a mileage increase as a bonus.

as long as you retain stock resonator you wont get much of a raspy tone , the only difference , is style/look and then volume. the magna will probably be quieter but i dont like the tone as much. just my opinion.

Go for the Strup Performance exhaust ... I has a nice low tone and killer looks ... I know you are not looking for performance gains but you do get a good amount with the Strup Performance Exhaust! www.strup.us and you can check out www.partshippers.com to order the exhaust ... they have a rebate offer on the exhaust and the headers! Good luck!

No all other products on the market are made very cheaply ... you get what you pay for ... The finish and quality on the Strup stuff is amazing ... Have you seen them IN PERSON ... I have seen the DC and the ebay ones in person and they do not compair to the quality of finish of the strup stuff ... If you get a change to see them in person you will see what we are all talking about ...

If you haven't seen a product in person and in action that you cant comment on if its crap or not ... Find someone local with the Strup headers or exhaust installed on their car and go check out the quality, finish and performance and then come on here and post your comments!

Well, I just listened to the strup clip and it is ok... Not really the tone I am looking for.

I like the tone of the Precisionmuffler one, but wish I heard it revving.

I am reading 2 different things... One site says it's a cat-back, another says it's an axle back. Do you know which it actually is and where I might find a sound clip?

I wish you knew someone local that had the Strup installed. The sound clip does not do it justice.
