Default fog lights and Short Ram intake question...

I have heard that if you have fog lights on your xB, you will not be able to run a Short Ram Intake on your car? is this true? anyone have both and does it or doesn't it fit? i HOPE it does since i've ordered both my oem fog lights and my fujita short ram intake..

You shouldnt have a problem with a short ram(depending on what kind). Most short rams are about the same so...You would more likely encounter that with a cold air intake because it goes down into that area to get its cold air. Right down by the fog light.

I have the factory fogs and the Injen SR. It's very close. The filter DID touch the light housing when I first put it on. I re-installed it nice and tight and it was cool. If you install the intake correctly it doesn't touch, but it's close.

i have the AEM cold air and the very top of my filter hits the bottom of my OEM foglight.

It makes my foglight on the driver side aim downward...

Oh really!? I thought the cold air would fit better. Oh well I guess I will go with the short ram as well. I have been wanting to get a DC Sports STB but it didn't work with a CAI. So I decided to get a short ram but I thought it didn't work with the OEM foglights. So I was in a tight place. All in all, I wanted to have my cake and eat it too. I guess I will get to afterall. Thanks guys and thanks ayS for asking what I was thinking.

No conflict at all between the Fujita short ram and factory fog lights. My wife's '05 is equipped with both.

I think they are about the same. You can look at both dynos on their websites. BTW, how long have you had your injen and have you had to service that little breather hose filter yet? As I stated above, that was the only reason I went with the Fujita because of the breather hose placement. I just found out from the F5 Fujita people that their short ram is carb pending. So maybe the Injen isn't ruled out yet. Living in California I gotta have it CARB legal.
