It's a more efficient setup, so it should help gas milage. FWIW, I hit 38mpg on a recent road trip (averaged ~34-35 total).

It didn't at first, cause you will want to hear that growl while punching the accelerator. But it does help once you start to drive without gunning it.

replace it with the same filter... rather then spending the $ on a cleaning kit and taking the time to clean it ... its easier to just buy a new one ... that way i dont gotta worry about how well i cleaned it or actually have to do it

filters are cheap ... so id rather have the piece of mind knowing that i got a brand new one .. not something im not even sure is cleaned 100%
It's a good thing to have an extra filter so you can drive while the other one is drying out. I'm going to get a K&N replacement when the time comes...

I installed my Injen short ram last week, and noticed improved throttle response and better high-end pick-up. The noise is awesome at WOT. On Sunday, I also installed my DC Headers. Now I feel even better response over the entire RPM range, and the sound is even better!!! I also have a Greddy EVO II rear section. The box has never felt better now that I have an intake, headers, and exhaust.

I purchased my headers & intake from PTuning.com for $400.00 shipped. I received both products within a week in CA. For those who want it, here is the ScionLife.com discount link to get 5% off at check-out.

Way to go on the install Fuji!

Intakes make a noticable difference on the xA/xB. Helps your MPG and definately helps pickup.

I installed the DC sports header at the same time as the intake, the two go together like peanut butter and choclate. Got everything from ptuning.com. Check out the header, I think you will be pleased.

Nothing like hot air from directly above the engine to improve performance.

like not really.. the stock one was closer to the engine.

the injen, however goes past where the stock used to be. If I have a chance ill post comparison pics..

so if it was hot air... why would i perform better????

me thinks you must look at pics of the injen short ram before you comment on it...

I might agree with you for the xA one but the xB looks like this:

my only concern with the piece is the hose before the sensor... but i thought i read somewhere they corrected that problem..

Me thinks so too...

Chimmey, Injen now includes a little filter that you put in the hose so you're not sending gunk towards your MAF. So far so good.

chimmy thanks for the pic.

okay. follow the ground wire on the battery. do you see where it curves and there is a brown\black piece where you put a screw on? well thats were the opening for the stock hose used to be.

if you now look at the pic again.. the filter\opening of the injen intake goes waaay past that..not buy much but it sure does go way past it.

reving up, windows down, thats the way fuji likes to hit it up...
sing along..
