no it doesnt.. after i found out what i was looking for i did it about 1.5 hours.. i lost track of time cuz my dad sold the tools and i had to go to the store to buy some new ones.

make sure you have all your tools..

screw driver . wratchet set with extension, proper lighting, your hands, motivation, and thats it, the xb is so easy to work on.

have fun.

update..

before intake 2 gallons left average - 245miles

after intake on original fill up and abusing it 1 gallon left 265miles

this current fill up i will drive normal.. i mean like an older person.

can cold air/short ram intakes harm your engine? I just dont know enough to mess with that yet. Basically, I'm asking..what's the worst that can happen with an intake? I've got the extended warranty and I dont want toyota to tell me that they arent going to honor it if the intake causes problems. AEM/dealer cai costs too damn much !!

2 potential problems:
1. CAI's can (but not necessarily will) suck up water when driving through puddles and cause hydrolock (short rams aren't as prone).
2. Low quality filters or filters with poor filtration can result in engine build up
