either way you go, your ECU should be tuned with a new fuel map to match the amount of boost you are running. and as long as you keep boost under control, you sould have a decent reliable increase in power either way. should be able to reach the 100hp / litre without much problem.
a lot of people complain about turbo lag when comparing turbo to S/C, but thats only a downside oh large turbos. small turbos (K03s for instance) spool up well under 3k RPM, provide plenty of TQ down low, and are good for around 200hp before they run out of steam.

a turbo is just as reliable as a supercharger. it is easier to tune a turbo setup with the aid of a boost controller unlike a supercharger where you have to mess with pulleys. a supercharger is belt driven where a turbo is exhaust driven. ive used to own a turbo crx running 8lbs of boost on a t3super60. ive also driven my friends jrsc civic that ran 10lbs of boost. based on my experience a turbo is the way to go. the power is better, it is as relaible as a supercharger...either way just make sure you tune your setup.

Turbo!
I'm currently putting together a list of parts to turbocharge my '05 xA. I'm starting off with a turbo-kits.com kit WITHOUT fuel management. Instead of adding 2 injectors, or trying to push more fuel through the stock ones, I'll replace all of them with slightly larger units.
I guess this goes back to a few of the replies I read: "turbo is both safe and efficient if setup / tuned properly". It's relatively easy to slap one on (compared to a supercharger, which at least has to be aligned correctly not to snap the belts), but making sure that it's running the way it's supposed to is a different story.

The thing about using bigger injectors and what not is that eventually the long term fuel trim kicks in and will readjust the fuel settings...you gotta pull your EFI fuses once every few days.
I just sold my turbo xB, the guy gave me the check yesterday...it was a sad sad day for me....waitin on my tC though to boost the sh#t outta that
