Default Gonna throw a 100shot of dope on the xB...

Hey guys.
Dont post much here, as my xB is really just my daily driver.
I build/work on cars and race cars everyday, its my job.
Right now my main projects are my Datsun Z cars, but nobody really wants to race them on the street. so for the hell of it i thought i could sucker some slow guys into money runs against my box.
i have extra stock steelies that ill be either throwing my spare set of BFG drag radials on or maybe get some falken stickys.. either way i want it so i can spray/100% WOT in 1st gear (i have a 5-speed).
I have a 100 wet shot NX kit that i want to use.
i have 50 and 75 pills but thats no fun.
will bump the timing down abit, and run some 110 or 114 unleaded race gas when i race it.

anybody do this?? any horror storys?
i would think the plastic intake manifold would explode before the engine does but who knows.
doubt the clutch will hold but maybe, ill prob only spray 10 or so times, just for a few races to make some cash.
what do stock 5-speed xb's run in the 1/4th? i know its damn slow, maybe ill bring it to the track instead of my other cars, sorta be fun.

any ideas or etc please let me know.

btw. engine has less then 10K on it.

It's good to see that the sleeper is returning to the American roadway. I don't really like the xB, but I have to admit that it looks a lot better than the Station wangon that people were useing in the 70's and 80's as sleepers. Go head on.

You can't be serious. Do you really think that these motors are built to withstand a 100% horsepower increase? There's absolutely no way that the motor would survive. I've never seen the internals of the 1.5, but I'm willing to wager that the rods aren't much thicker and my index finger.

If you do intend to go on with this, enjoy.

i really dont care if it blows up.. i have other cars to drive.
i cant see why it wouldnt take it, i mean if i prep the motor with the right timing and have the extra fuel there for safety i cant see why it wouldnt work.
btw im not just some young ricer punk.
every single car i own has and is in the low 12's or faster.
i plan on maybe just keeping the xB as a daily or sell it.
plan on getting a Titan or a F250 to trailer my cars, and next car is the Exige from Lotus.

i cant see why it wouldnt work.. i can always throw a adjustable fuel pressure regulator on it and maybe a walbro 255lph fuel pump for extra fuel.

guess ill be a man and just do it.

Save it for the 4th of July. Explosions are expected then at least.

No matter what you do you will still always be limited to 50 psi as far as your fuel delivery goes(stock is around 45 psi)...there is an in tank regulator that limits the fuel pressure, and it can not be removed and replaced with an adjustable FPR because the fuel wont pump without it in place. Basically, you might be able to unhook your battery cable and clear out your fuel trims, then make 1 or 2 passes w/ the juice w/ only minor damage done to the motor, then eventually you will blow the thing to pieces.

can i just replace the fuel pump and regulator with aftermarket units? so i can do away with that intank regulator?
never even put my scion on the lift at work, is the fuel pump inline or intank?
i can always throw my obd2 scanner and clear out the trims and or unhook the battery like you said.

if 100shot is way to much, is a 50 or a 75 doable.. i really just want to see that this turd is like with some spray, plus im bored and im tired of working on my Z's.

You'll be the one suckered. You'll have to have a wrecker to pull you across the finish line. Also if u get lucky and it dosen't blow, then u'd run worse than stock because the clutch would slip worse than a buttered up fat kid down a slide. Not only that but it would be glazed afterwards for sure.

I'm not trying to flame on ya, i'm just trying to say that its not THAT easy.

I am running a walbro 255lph and an aeromotive 1:1 FPR on my turbo setup. The in tank regulator HAS to stay in or else fuel wont pump w/ out it. The fuel pump is in tank and is real easy to change out, just pop off your backseat and open up the access panel. 100 shot is definitely way too much for the 1nz motor, but I think its safe to say that 50 would be your best bet if you really wanna hit the snot.

it will never happen. no matter what fuel upgrades you do this motor will die for a hundred shot. whether you have extra cars or not........ i'm going to assume you have lots and lots of expendable income...... if so spend 10 grand and get a trd supercharged 1zz swapped in. that motor with bolt ons will yield at least 190WHP. not just hp but WHP. that in this car will fly. and guess what......you will drive a perfectly streetable , RELIABLE car......

Drill some holes in your engine like that guy did to his S2000.

for some reason the original poster of this thread just sounds like he's being retarded and this thread is a joke. read his posts again...they are really odd.
If you are serious, GL dude...would be nice to see a xB hold some sort of world record, for its first run...too bad it will prolly blow up the first time...heh but at least you set it =P

Dude, If you do this please doument w/ video, and also I assume you wouldn't be afraid to chop up your frame and stuff that celica motor in your box...

DO IT! :o
