horsepower increase by engine mods...
Okay, so a stock XB has 108 horses. With the normal engine mods out there (Cold Air Intake, Headers, Exhaust, "insert more here") what kind of horse power increases have been seen. I test drove a manual XB today, and it was a little sluggish, but not bad for 108?!?! Thanks for all of your info!!!

Hi, you can definitely find information about the I/H/E TB HP increases in the xA/xB "power hungry" section located under the pulldown menu at the top. From there you can use the red "search" button and find even more information.
I imagine you'd see about 15-20 hp total.

Thanx
Thank you for your info. I like the idea of the L shaped cold air intake, and the headers are a must!! Exhaust, I will look up for info. How is the sound of the engine after the headers are installed? Any different? I did a cold air intake and headers on a 93 accord and the engine got very loud!

The perrin light weight pulley is a very eay install and there is a notciable diference. There have been a lot of people with nothing but good stories with that one. :D

I got a rev hard turbo kit in mine with thicker head gasket and a port/polish head, piggy back ECU, 3 inch turbo-back exhaust running on 18 PSI boost and I'm pulling 210HP 220 lbs torque @ the wheel...

... I'm day dreaming right now... on the serious note, HP gains even on turbo kits are not as much as the turbo kits in the Honda Camp. with I/H/E + pulley you can almost have as much gains as some of the turbo kits out there. This 1.5L motor of ours is weak when it comes to boosting. Somebody needs to dishout $$$ and try to build these motor or do a swap...

dont forget when you look in the box that the Cold Air Intake, Headers, Exhaust, was delivered in there should be stickers from the company....dont forget to put those on your windows...
you'll get like an extra 2-3 HP.....if that doesnt work al least you'll look fast......lol

lol. weight removal is anything from a full out gutted interior , to removing the spare , to doing what i did which is remove the tow hooks and heat sheils as well as the additional support structure for the header. shaved like 10 pounds maybe a bit more. lol.
