Not sure if you noticed, but the last few posts were just funny things. No one is using any of them because they are fake.

Wow, talk about Deja Vu............................it was like I had this conversion on wednesday!

Some of the other posts on this thread are totally irrelevent and not of any use. Talk about a waste of bandwidth. Well, some on this site are bandwidth wasters and in general oxygen thieves anyway.

We have a car that is designed for commuting w/ the only worthwile mods being intake, header, and exhaust. Anything else except either the Blitz or Power Enterprises superchargers will only destroy your engine.

Yeah well you suckin up my O2 is offending me mister! j/k

NewXBinNorCal, I'd advise just stickin to I/H/E then maybe a jump to a blitz or power enterprises (just as the nutty one [squrrel] suggested < gives props where due =p ) s/c.

The next step is the one where you turn into a jamaican with 8 jobs (anyone remember that old "in living colour" ? Damn funny stuff).

Intake, header, and pulley are all under $200 per piece and have noticeable gains. Weight is the big issue with these cars. Load them full or people and watch the car get sluggish and run 20mpg. Remove the spare, CF Hood, or anything that lightens the car and you get more MPG.

I AM TRULY OFFENDED. SERIOUSLY OFFENDED.
Did I mention your particular screen name? No I did not. So you have nothing to worry about, or to be offended by.

I waste air.

I waste bandwidth.

And this is my 527th post! (Post ***** here I come.)

Back on the topic... you bought a box. Lighten it? fine, great. Intake/header/exhaust? sure, good idea. Commute? Decide to add a stereo? Maybe some subs? Amps? You just put your weight back on.

Come to think of it, I'm starting to wonder why I ever bought my Honda xB. Scion! I meant Scion xB!

On a serious note. I've been an old school hot roder for years. I've built Chevy's that will snap your neck off the line, and people here can verify that! As Squirrel states, the basics are the best way's to go. Buying the intake, which ever you may choose, and Exhaust, and header, and maybe the pulley (just test drove an Automatic with the pulley installed and it was noticable) are yourbest choices. As with any engine, you have to think of it as an air pump. The more air you can move through it, make it breath better, the better off you are all around. Also, better burning of the fuel mixture can help. Spark plugs might not be a bad idea. The NGK's are a good choice.
