how is the FX-1 cold air intake? the one that can be had for 80.00 dollars on ssuperstore.com? or should i spend more money on an injen or somthing?

Sucks.

Vibra-mount didn't last 6 months. Sent numerous e-mails to ScionSport asking about how I could get a new one (wasn't looking for a freebie, was willing to buy one), and they never responded to ANY of them! Filter was also a cheesy universal one with multiple adapter rings to make it fit the pipe.

I have since swapped it out to a K&N Typhoon intake, which has been great so far.

Vibra mount is junk. However, I have no other complaints. You get what you pay for!

 

ok, ok, I guess if you need a 100% 'pluga and play' CAI, the vibramount does suck. The brackets were bent a bit when i got mine, I ended up fabbing some stuff for mounting, but in reality, i 'wing it' on a lot of the stuff i do.

now, when I say fabbing something, i do not mean I got out the blowtorch and crap. I just realigned the brackets slightly, and rigged it up so that it works.

pulling the stock air box out was by FAR the hardest part of the task.
