Default Ideas for a DIY engine damper..

I was looking at my kids pocket bikes rear suspension, and was thinking this may handle the force, or may not. Custom built brackets aside, you all think these could take the trauma?

It's hard to say... I guess I'm just wondering why you wouldn't just get the one from MMW? Those sell for $125, I believe. Making up custom brackets after buying that shock is gonna cost money too.

Yea, there's definitely something to be said for that, but realistically, I'm not sure how many people would actually notice it. It's a pretty unassuming part.

The damper is not a shock. It has elastomer pucks inside the body that you pre-load as needed. The damper w/o brackets sell for less than $50...
