I'M ____ED
So I'm driving around town dropping my neighbor off somewhere. I take off in 1st as usual and go to shift in 2nd and hit the gas and my motor starts revving. So I'm like "What's going on" and put in in neutral, press in the clutch and drop it back into second.. same thing. I put it in neutral again and just push it down into second and it slides right in. I'm instantly like WTF just happened. Come to find out I lost 2nd,4th and reverse. Does anybody have any idea what just happened??? Please help me.
Thanks
Nate

umm.. either you have a linkage problem.. or an internal issue.. internal issue should be a little noisy and noticable.. not just a straight rev.. sounds like your not engaing any gears on that side of the shifter.. pull your shifter assembly and start checking for linkage issues.. if not.. to the shop

pull up your center consol, your cables probably just came off the front ( I see that you have a short shifter installed)
those cables need to be installed with a good whack , at least thats how it's done when they build em.
have seen many that slip out, just make sure they snap into place.

yea... the cable just came off... i felt really retarded because i was looking at it for like 30 minutes trying to figure it out... i called my buddy and met him downtown nashville which was like 20 miles away .. so i drove there with 1st,3rd, and 5th got there... he looked at it and noticed it slipped off in like 30 seconds... then he slapped me for being an idiot..
