Default installed the monster motorworks header yesterday

had this header since it came out ($200 shipped introductory price) and just got to installing it yesterday.

well i have to say.. i wasn't missing much, lol. I honestly can't say i feel too much of a difference. The car definitely accelerates SLIGHTLY faster at 70+ mph.. but overall performance gains felt are slim to none. I've been driving the car for over a year already 21,000 miles so i know how the car felt before. I read that people say the exhaust sounds deeper, better etc... i really dont notice that either. When i first started the car up i was expecting maybe a little different sound, but nope.. still sounds exactly the same too.. i think it's in your head if you honestly hear/feel a difference.. or maybe my car just doesn't take well to mods

overall intall was easy, except for the bolt i dropped and took over an hour to find. other than that, it fit perfectly, and looks pretty. Definitely a quality piece. no doubt about the quality or fitment.. but like i said... no diffence is felt in performance other than at high speeds and still it's only slight.

Conclusion: don't buy a header expecting a huge power difference, lol.. unless of course you're changing out the entire exhaust system... then i'd expect a lot more power.. but with just the header, no way.

yeah i saw that thread already... it shows an increase of roughly 4hp and 2tq.

the 2lb-ft...you will be hard pressed to notice that, lol. anyone that says they can feel a big difference with 2lbft of torque is lying.

i'm still happy with it though. i want to get a new exhaust as well.. just for the nice deep sound. not expecting any power out of an axleback exhaust either, lol.. i will expect some gains when i get my intake.

is yours auto or manual? i just put mine in yesterday as well i have a manual xa it is better. fittment as you said is great. it does pull harder off the line gets up to speed faster. keep in mind your also running 19's on your xb which i'm sure isn't helping your low end any either. the 16's i'm running are the same size overall diameter as stock. my trd axle back did get deeper. still quiet at idle little more tone but when you get on it opens up.

my car is manual and i'm using the stock 15's, haven't put my 19's on yet.

Gains with a header, if any, are going to be up top end..so you actually lost power off the line dude, but revving out the motor in 1st and 2nd you will feel better acceleration above 4000rpm or so...below that is actually worse. It may feel faster cause you spent all that time installing it your brain wants to interpret any little thing as improvment. That's my take on it anyway.. really the only speed gain i feel is up around 75mph, when i mash the gas..the car takes off slightly faster than it did before.

Don't forget even though the header tubing is slightly larger than stock and has better bends for efficient flow...it's still dumping into the same wimpy exhaust tubing in which nothing changed.

the tubes are also longer and it is a 4-2-1.
