Default JDM Intake with Blitz filter from EBAY

I saw another post on here regarding this intake that I purchased from ebay. I've tested it for about a week and it works great. here are some photos. For those that are wondering, it is identical to the YDR intake kit except that the filter is a Blitz instead of a K&N. The Blitz filter does appear to perform well.

IMO it looks kinda cramped but who cares right as long as it works lolz.........did the plastic cover come with the intake or did you make it? the filter doesnt look as long as it does in the ebay pic looks just right.....the intake looks kinda short compared to my Injen IS intake maybe its how im lookin at it.....o well props for the intake though and for helping those who are curious about ebay stuff............

made the cover to prevent rain from dripping on the filter from the space between the hood and body. its actually half of a tool box. haha it fit perfectly and i tested it in the rain yesterday.

its not likely for the rain to get in because of the seal around the head so basically it really wouldnt do anything but maybe make more heat around the filter and rain dripping on the filter wouldnt do anything cuzz the filter has oil on it and water and oil doesnt mix and it did get past the oil it will just b absorbed into the cotton gaze filter but thats just my opinion........was it a old toolbox or new cuzz it would b a waste of a good toolbox haha

never used. its just a small plastic toolbox. super cheap box, but it fit perfectly just cut it in half and fixed it to the intake with a wire tie.

is the air filter pictured a blitz??... because that's DEFINITELY not a blitz. looks like a generic air filter. K&N or Blitz don't look remotely like that. blitz has only made blue gauze filters and stainless mesh filters.

I am thinking about getting this intake. Did you notice any increase in HP or response with this intake?

GOD Bless.
