Default Just ordered my header...

... and I'm trying to anticipate any problems I may run across. When I read the other threads, some suggested getting a new donut gasket, some said they were able to use their current one.

My xA has only 12,000 miles on it. Will the original donut gasket be worn that much? Also, would I have any issues getting the bolts off the header flange? I'll be sure to soak them with Liquid Wrench for about an hour before trying to loosen 'em.

FWIW, I ordered the OBX 4-2-1 for $140 on eBay. Looks aren't important, functionality as well as driveability (low-midrange) is, thus the decision to get the 4-2-1.

Thanks, Keith. Any problems with seized bolts on the header flange?

No problems at all, just take your time and you'll be fine. total install should be around 45mins-1hr. Let us know how it feels afterwards.

I would say take the extra precaution when taking the doughnut gasket off the stock header, that is when it is most vulnerable, you could severly damage it becuse its onthe stock header pretty tight. The two bolts are also a pain but like you stated some liquid wrench or PB blaster and some good old elbow grease, you should be fine. Good luck and have fun.

Good luck to you. I'm currently having leaking problem with using the old donut. A new donut is in order for me.

Default muffler

I have a RS2. I put in the insert to reduce the noise factor, but it is still too loud. Does anyone have a muffler from a standard xB that they would be willing to sell?
Thanks
John
