Put your sock on ! There should have been one with the Typhoon.
Now, I have a 2" drop and the Typhoon. The filter ( bottom most part of part #ru4860,the filter) sits 11.5" above the ground. So unless you run through water,
that is over a foot deep, you'll have no problems.
I, by nature, love to splash puddles. BIG ones in my box. These are done at speeds of 25 to 50 mph, and have yet to have any problems. If you do drive through puddles deeper than a foot at any time, go slow, go steady and do not stop.( this is only if you really want or need to get through the puddle. And if it is deeper than a foot and running ( stream, river, ect.) your putting yourself in a risky situation.
If you are paranoid about it, just buy an SRI, why chop up a perfectly good intake system?
