Default which LSD to get

Guys,
I have a 05 Echo hatch, and I will be buying the Scion xA mainshaft and ring gear for it (final drive upgrade), and I am also looking at doing an LSD at the same time. Does anyone know which part number do I need?

http://www.trdsales.com/shop/product.asp?catcode=218

What is the difference between 41301-AW004 and 41301-EP703 (clutch types), or 41301-AE000 and 41301-EP800 (gear types).

Do you think I should go clutch or gear type?

I know my chassis code is NCP13, but perhaps that will change once I get the final drive (I've heard stories of not enough bolt holes and such).

Any assistance is much appreciated.

I have a TRD LSD in my echo hatch, but i think there is only 1 type available from TRD.

although i do know that CUSCO have 2 types available, buts they are hard to get a hold of. and i am not sure what the difference between the 2 types that CUSCO do.

I want one that give more inital grip rather than one that give me better handling.

I know the differences between viscous, mechanical, and clutch type.
I am mostly concerned with which part number I should pay attention too.
Are they selling the Yaris in the US aswell?

you can also get a KAAZ LSD

clutch type

the two main things that seperate the types...

clutches need breaking in and they wear out. (and they do slip to prevent wheel hop or chirps.)

Gears do not need breaking in. they will bind up and cause wheel hop

KAAZ LSD is a Brand, you'll need to contact them to get the part number & maybe a dealer in your area.

I don't think the KAAZ LSD will fit the xA
http://echodrivers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8615

something about the number of bolts on the transmission. Well it applies to echos anyways, but xA and echo have the same chassis code..... Try asking wraith?

it should still fit...
i have an Echo tranny and it has 8 bolts...
my xB tranny has 8 Bolts...
the xA and xB are the same tranny....

i know i saw this issue with someone else, but i think it was do to the Echo being an early model...

I'm kinda scared now. Echo-bB is saying I just straight up cannot get an LSD for my echo, even if I change the final drive.
Does anyone know of the where abouts of an xA/xB extra tranny?
