That is freakin' awesome. I don't even want to know how much work it was to get that thing tuned. And since you are running a stand alone that means you lost the traction control correct? Any other issues so far?

Definitely keep us updated. I would love to see what you guys are able to do with the ITB. ESPECIALLY if you can get this thing CARB LEGAL!

This might sound like a dumb question, but what do you use for air filtration? Are there individual air filters for each throttle body?

I'd have to guess that, with a turbo, there is going to be some sort of plenum covering the itb's (like the Viper GTS-R), not a tube to each tb.

Regarding Tamago's comment about leaks, the plenum would likely have a gasket surface and cutouts for the itb's but aside from having an extra gasket in the system, I can't imagine why excessive leaks would be present. Just like a standard intake and a tb gasket, for the most part.

I'm not designing it...just spouting off with my ideas. Correct if I'm wrong.

okay, maybe I was wrong about the single pipe for each tb...

sushiboy: if you were to keep it all motor, and run a stand alone ECU, u can rn 1 small intake filter for each ITB, but if you dont want to run stand alone u make a custom intake manifold housing all 4 itb's and keepint the OEM MAF.

sikbrik: yes we are going to build a custom intake manifold to run the turbo set up, but still opting to use the TEC2 stand alone

as far as boost leak, sikbriks theory is pretty accurate, but of course we all now that "$hi7" happens, but i am prepared for what issues may come up and will not release such a kit til its near perfect
"u gotta pay to play"

thanx

Only bad thing about ITB's and our cars...we don't rev high, and typically for ITB's you wanna rev to the high heavens for big power.

yes to address the rev issues we raised my redline to 7500, all motor the car screams on the top end, and keep in mind i have an auto trans, manual trans is much easier and is prolly considerably faster

no head work, i recently ordered pistons since i found out that the rings/combustion chambers stretched out due to forced induction, i am now gettin some blow by, so tuning the ITB is gettin delayed til i install the new pistons and rings, we opted to keep the stock compression but got stronger peices, we are also going to shot peen the rods to withstand boost once i turbo

as far as the ITB kit is concerned i really need to know how many people would be interested, if we get enough we will go ahead and start buidling it

hypothetical situation
if we keep the ITB kit price at around $2500
along with a pre tune piggy back
and all necessary peices to complete
how many would actually be 90% interested in purchasing the kit?

start the list here (this is just a feeler, not a broup buy or pre order list)

my concern is debris involved with a forward facing ITB setup,i know B series hondas even with ITBs facing away have had debris enter the motor via the ITBs, and blowup

would the $2500 kit have an intake plenum/filter that would alleviate Sciontuner's concerns?
