Doooh! Wait now this really sucks. So i went to the dealer to get them to put a new gasket in and they said that my pipe is bent. Of course they can't fix that at the dealer to they sent me to Easy Muffler. Now i have to pay to have a part fixed that should be under warranty. Unfreakinbelievable!!!!

How is it bent? I don't understand? there is a grove in the pipe that is supposed to be there when you remove the axle back, but that would not stop you from putting on a gasket.

Well they told me that it looked like the whole thing had been pushed forward and bent the pipe. The hangers were pushed forward when they should hang straight down. He said that the ends of the pipe were not meeting completely and this had deteriorated the gasket. I believe this because i use to live at a house with a f@#ed up driveway that would sometimes bang the tip real hard. So it's not hard to imagine it pushing the whole unit forward and bending the pipe. I don't know if it's the midpipe or the exhaust pipe or both. Basically he believes it's bent because the hanger are at a forward angle.

I looked at the pics on the "crooked exhaust" post and i see there is no way i can tell if the gasket is in there without taking it apart so it might still be in there. Anyway hopefully this muffler guy will tell me either way and won't charge me.
