if thats the dyno from just the intake and muffler then you've got magic parts... i don't mean to sound rude or anything but theres no way a simple intake and muffler will give that much gain in power at the wheels...

as for a performance ECU, i've looked around and havn't found much anything worth looking into and because our block is so small i would think its pointless. might aswell just turbo or SC and deal with less problems like throwing codes and such compared to blowing out sparkplugs, throwing rods and bending valves... given, Turbos and SC's do the same but thats only after some serious boost is added over what the safe limit is to begin with.

No offense but I don't see spending $3000 to only achieve 150whp. I don't have magic parts that is truely dynoed with just a muffler and intake. Maybe my XA had more than the claimed 108whp stock. I could be wrong but maybe there is a difference in emissions from here in NY and where you are from. If I can before winter I will have it dynoed as it is right now intake and exhaust and I'll get back to you. There are no piggy back systems even worth looking at either? If not I guess the only thing to do is have the stock one reprogramed.

theres no way, you should have them recalibrate thier dyno and make sure it's accurate. you shouldn't even be getting 108whp stock either, thats like saying there's absolutely no power loss between the engine, drive train and wheels. if that were true then we wouldn't have the near 15% loss of power, but a 1.8% loss. i would go to an emissions shop and have them dyno if they have a dyno so that you know it's calibrated correctly.

A good XA-B makes less than 90 whp. There is MUCH inconsistency between these enginse, VVT, me thinks.
My delta was 96 using 93ron, on a very good day 72f ambient. So, 3k looks like a bargin to get 150whp with a bolt on mod. But that ain't gonna happen either.
With a good CAI, a tuned piggy, exhaust & FI you could see 50 more WHP....... Maybe. This XB is making about 153+ at the fly wheel but the big improvement is the TQ about 144 @ 3500
By the way, Scion is a 50 state car. There are some eveil piggys out there that claim big numbers at the cost of your engine.
