Default New AFE intake kit?

I've used AFE intakes on my diesel stuff. They are great quality pieces and the filter material is second to none. Intake tubing stays COMPLETELY clean. Anyone have this on their xB yet? Takes the air from directly behind the upper grill and is sealed against the hood. See it here --

Thats looks like a really good design!

Looks like it should get more air there than most of the CAIs in the fender

That would be a bit too exposed for people running open grilles...

Havin a open grill is there first mistake. If they go and buy this intake at least there back on track. Looks really kool. altho i got to say, is it me or do those dyno numbers look A BIT low, Even for an auto xb they look low, 68whp and 73tq.

I always thought companies show the worse dyno run before the mod and the best dyno mod after they install it to show the best gains, while still technically being a before and after

Seems to be one of the cheapest intakes ($166 for the stage 2) available for the xA/xB as well. Would love to hear some feedback on this, as the design looks better than most i've seen. A heat shield and aimed backwards just seems to make more sense to me. Would grab colder air coming up from the wheel well this way, wouldn't it?

Do they need an xA with a clean engine?????

I like how it fills the hole left from the stock airbox.

Lol, there was another posting like this one a little while back. I knew something was up with the pictures. The xB intake has it behind the front grill while the xA has it over the Trans. here's the original post that I posted my feeling on...

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...392&highlight=

and here's some other wierd stuff too. . .

http://www.afefilters.com/productrev...54-10842pr.htm

or

http://www.afefilters.com/productrev...54-10842pr.htm

the part numbers are different. lol. I thought I'd post this up so people could know there were two different ones running around. All I can say is check what I said in my other post minus a few things like the placement. Otherwise if anyone gets one write up a review. Cause there was one similar to this one for Volant minus the filter.
