I had talked to the guy a while back through emails...he never once release a price or date when the kit was coming out...I have a feeling they are running into some problems w/ fuel. long term fuel trim kills everyones hopes and dreams unless you got extra injectors or standalone

No you wouldnt ... Because compression also helps makes power and response... For example ... My 5s-gte project, I went with a compression of 8.1:1 so I can throw alot of boost at it and it can be safe to throw some NOS at it as well. Now, because of the lower compression I will need the NOS to make my HUGE GT4088R turbo spool up below 5000rpm ... And I can throw more timing and fuel with the lower compression.

Now if my motor was say 9.0:1 comrpession it would be more responsive and can easily make more power with less boost. But I would be riding the fine line of detonation and a blown motor.

You have to understand ... The turbo is technically raising your compression by compressing the atmosphere air that your motor is use to ingesting ... Normally, Your motor ingest air thats atmospheric and then when it gets in the combustion chambers. It gets compressed with the fuel mixture.

I personnally would say at 5psi to 14psi it should be fine... Just as long as you have a some sort of piggy back ecu to tune the motor for boost. Because if you run lean you'll heat up the manifold and it'll crack under that type of circumstances... The only metal that I know of that wont crack is INCONEL... And that my friend is uber expensive... A INCONEL collector alone with set you back $1000 bucks...

it would seem so.

ok here is one for your imaginary calculators:

@5psi it give 144 whp keep that to one side. now who knows about the EIP turbo'd echo that was ment to be running @ 12psi on stock internals at 10.5:1 CR i forget exactly how much power it was ment to be making... can anyone remember?

im not sure and i might be wrong but was it not 175WHP? and it had a TECIII ECU i think. i cant remember if that was at the wheels or not/ but i think it was using a T3 turbo.

now with all that info who would like to guess how much a 1NZ-FE would make with a T3 turbo + 8.5:1 CR and 15psi with stand alone ECU (all using a front mount intercooler)???

Get it coated! Otherwise, yours may do what my cast one did... bolts rust to manifold, manifold can't expand/contract and BOOM, you need to repair your manifold because it cracked all the way around runner #6
