Default ok so i installed my intake now what?

ok so i ordered a cheap $40 intake off of ebay - filter did not fit correctly but some rubber tape took care of that other than that the intake is great

so this is the filter after install

so next i wanted to mod the fog cover to let some outside air in so this is what i came up with

now the grill didnt come out perfectly straight but i think it came out ok - remeber im broke so all my mods are cheapy but its all i can afford
the sad part is i got paid to do this this was done during working hours
so please let me know what you people think?

im not being negative just curious... 1) do you like asymmetrical-ness? why not both sides... 2) maybe you could paint the chicken wire black just to match the regular grills a bit

Don't most CAIs try to shield the intake from water? Will the holes in the fog light cover allow rain and road spray to wet the bare filter element? What is that element made of? If the element got a little wet, would it restrict the air flow, or would suction collapse the element? If the element got soaked, would water be sucked out of it and into the engine?

ok so i got around to painting the mesh flat black
[img][/img]

i also just finished droping my ride with megan springs - the ride is still very close to stock just a tad rougher the performance factor is amazing
[img][/img]

just for kicks and giggles i threw in a strut bar as well - cant really tell either but i painted my intake flat black as well - the strut bar will be getting a spray soon

well people let me know what you think? i had bigger plans for my ride but i just had a perfectly healthy little boy so im not gona be droping too much cash in to my car - but im still getting a 30shot dry kit i soon as i can - install of springs was under 3 hours with no help and that was with a few smoke breaks and double checking everything

I'm sort of a perfectionist, so I noticed that your mesh grille has its design vertical, while the upper and lower grilles have the pattern in a horizontal direction.

Not sure if you meant to do that, but it's less noticeable with the black paint on it, at least.

Other than that, looks good! Nice circles
