Don't get me wrong, I'm sure people are doing this somewhere and I want to see pics too. But those people prolly aren't ready for us to see their cars yet for whatever reason. Maybe they want a fully completed show car and want the full wow factor. Or since they did all the work, they don't want to give away anything yet. Once people see it can be done and what motor got used then soon others will follow.

Yeah, it was that guy with the red wheels........

ANyone had have luck swapping in a 1zz-fe from a Celica GT? I have a Celica too and doing a 2zz swap into it. So I would have a 1zz to play around with.

It would be a lot more sensible and cost-effective for you to just sell your 1ZZ Celica and buy a 2ZZ Celica. You should do the math. A car that has been heavily modified like that looses serious resale value, you will f*ck yourself by doing that and a factory install will be 100% right the first time.

a list of engines that COULD possibly work would be cool to see, im curious about it.

i wonder about the cost factor too, doing FI would be anywhere from 2500-4k or so ....i wonder what the comparison would be for just swapping out an engine?

hell putting in an engine with 125-140hp stock would already be a nice boost lol

So this one time, at band camp, I had this fantasy of someone stuffing a 24-valve V6 into an xB with a one-piece tilt front end. Now that would be worthy of a show car! Swapping one 4-cyl engine for another just doesn't do it for me. If you're going to go thru that much trouble, make it worthwhile...

the mere fact that the 4EFTE has been boosted to well over 275WHP should turn your crank..

1.3L

275whp..

I love this picture. Anyway I would love to see the 1.8L out of the Matrix/Vibe in the xB.

does anyone know if the bb had a larger motor, you can generally buy used jap motors for a few grand with around 25 - 36000 miles on them

yea, well I bet you the bb motor had a ceramic block, I'd spend the extra cash just for that reason there
