Perrin#1 Dude they did alright on that y pipe. :D Looking good! You gonna put the rest of the bumper back on. I know that you can add some support in the center for the bumper. Looks like there is no worries for the charcol canister

okay, question. are you going to put at least some of the center of the bumper back in?

no offense, but i think right now it looks crappy. im sorry. if it had the bumper back a little it could be okay. props for being innovative and trying something new, but at this moment, im really not feeling it

ah! mucho better. still not a style i really like, but a lot better indeed.

if the holes were rounded and clean, that would look nice. is that part of the plan too?

I'd think that lower part could be purchased and you could cut round holes like suggested by others and maybe ever have the circles ringed in chrome or black to finish the edge so it looks decent and not a hack job.

Looking at the one you cut, could it have been removed and not chopped to start with?

yeah maybe get another rear lip and cut some cirular hole and use like a stainless or chrome trim ring. either way cool.

I think you should go with the mesh all across the back with cutouts for the tips. Use the parts of the bumper you cut off alreay to help you figure out the right form for the mesh. it would look more complete.

As much as I love dualies, (and I think with the middle section of bumper will look much better) I have to disagree on the performance aspect you mentioned. Your driving a four banger and 1) exhaust doesn't add that much power to begin with and 2) any power you may get is offset by the fact that now you have TWO WEIGHTS sticking out the back of your car.

Good Looking - YES, I like it
Performance - Not really

Send a PM to evildave who actually does feel a diference. He drives everyday going over the same dam hill and after his dual exhaust was put on, he doesn't feel it bog down anymore. You gotta remember that our 4 banger is 3500-4500 at freeway speeds so the HP gain will be felt.

I agree... the only think dual exhaust will do on our 4-bangers is make you look "cool/uncool" depending on what you are into. Only cars who need this sort of thing are those with larger motors and some sort of forced induction like the 2JZE etc. With 2 mufflers you are loosing a lot of back pressure and am sure you lost some torque. But maybe in the freeway arena you may feel some additional gain, but then again I don't think you changed the exhaust manifold or B pipe so don't think it will matter.

lol. a 2jz is a straight 6 and i've never seen one with duals.

and with this far back splitting to duals loses only a small bit of tq. as well as raises only a very very tiny bit of power.

A 2JZ-GTE with duals? Never seen it. But I have seen many a 2JZ-GE with duals. . . STOCK. I believe it is a Lexus thing, as to keep the car quiet though. The first generation (1991-00?) SC300 had a 2JZ-GE with OEM duals, as did the first and second generation GS300. The IS300, however, had a single exit exhaust.
