Default possible hydro lock?

Not sure if this post belongs here, however, heres the issue. as i was driving to my tdy from virginia to texas i had the luck to hit a dog at 75mph... front left bumpers a bit messed up, rear left lip gone. the front wheel well shrouds got ripped off as well somehow... when i returned to try and somehow figure out some way to get them, they were destryoed, probably from other people running over them. my concern is that i have a cold air intake. the k and n one that comes down into the wheel well area... so other than worrying about it possibly falling off, when it rains my front left tire will be kicking water directly at my filter! any ideas on how to temporarily fix this until i can get back to virginia three weeks from now?

there should be a coupling somewhere before it goes into the wheel well. if there is then remove it along with the pipe. now take the filter and clamp it to that part of the intake. now you kinda have a short ram intake..

no looked at it today, if i took that pipe off, and just attahced the filter then the maf would have no where to go. the pipe is one solid piece with a designated place to the maf sensor. thanks for the idea though. i could and would appretiate any more ideas, being that its raining here in teaxas as well...

Ahh ok then. On my xb2 it is a 2 piece tube. Besides buying a short ram intake (do they make one?) you could remove the whole pipe and cut one end off. Far enough into he engine bay I guess. Then re clamp the filter were you cut it. Use a band saw or even a hack saw lol.

Do you have the stock intake box?

You can also install one of these.
