If you could do this sort of swap that would be AMAZING!! If you have the time and the money DO IT!!! Dont you think it would be cheaper and better just to ship a WHOLE car down, maybe a used one, that way you have to go through all the mess of making everything work correctly..

Dont worry about titling it. Just take what you need and strip it for parts and it would probably pay for its self. You could easily sell the headlights, front and rear bumpers, seats, and the hatch for a pretty penny.

so if someone did wanna drive a car on there from japan in the USA. how much would it cost or is it not even possible cause of titling issues and such?

I remember reading how it would be done, but I think it involved crash-testing two of them before you could drive one.

but i'd love to bring a parts car over, and build a bB on my chassis (and vin lol)... keep dreamin huh?

RHD cars in california are only premitted a 6 month period I believe....or last time thats what it was at least. Maybe its changed though?!
