Wow, how the hell did I miss this thread...trikconceptz is right, the tranny will hold up to 300whp. Hotbox is correct, it wont last forever, but it will last a lot longer than a few passes. Your biggest issue isnt the tranny holding the power, its putting the power to the ground reliably. Adapter plate would be the first step which you got, which probly wasnt that hard, then custom halfshafts to hold the power to the wheels. Theres more to it than that, but it has been done.
Who has 300whp on a 1nz tranny? I'm not trying to debate or argue with you, but i'd like to know who has it done. Also, like i said above your post, theres much more to it than that to safely withstand the hp numbers.

Im not saying I know of anyone personally, but its not rocket science. Theres a few components in a tranny that when upgraded, will withstand the power. For how long, we dont really know. I guarantee there are people out there with significant hp levels on these cars that arent forum junkies, and are pushing that power on a c50 tranny.
You are correct, its not rocket science. But going from 108hp to 300hp is a significant jump, very significant. These trannys aren't made to withstand that much power, most toyota tranny's aren't overbuilt so usually you have to start thinking about minor to major modifications to trans after around 100-150hp increase to ensure reliability. For the c50, i find it extremely hard to believe it would survive with 300hp no matter what you upgrade and no matter what you modify, its too large of a jump. If there was someone pushing 300hp, i think someone on the forums would have seen it and posted up something about it. Now i do see your point being that not everyone is on here as often as others, and some of those selected people have major modifications. But, 200-300hp would have been heard about long before now if it existed. Especially with a 1nz platform, of course, we aren't talking about that we are talking about swaps. I haven't heard of anyone doing a successful swap lately, and those that did didn't keep their xb very long or didn't keep the motor in very long that did the swap. At least, last i have heard. But back to topic, 300hp on our tranny, even rebuild would not last but maybe one to three times on the track before giving out and needing a minor-major rebuild once again. Its just too much power for it to handle, atleast this is what my experience leads me to believe. I am open to being proven wrong, hell, i would enjoy admiting being wrong if someone can show some proof of a c50 handling 300hp+, even 230hp+ and lasting. Until then, i stand by my thoughts.
As for hotbox's comment, i agree. Because no one has heard anything, its very unlikely anyone is pushing that much power on this tranny. No matter if they were part of scionlife or not, someone out of the thousands here would have heard something and posted something. Or even magizine coverage with how "hot" the xb is.
