Have you thought about installing some dynamat? It won't quiet the exhaust but it will ease the droning sound in the cab a little bit..

the only way your going to really quiet the actual note down is with a silencer. If its your first car with I/H/E than just wait it out, you get used to it and eventually don't even realize its there half the time.
Good luck!

you could go to any exhaust shop and have them put a resonator in if theres not one on the DC exhaust already... you will still get a nice low hum but im guessing from the 1.5K-4Krpm range it would be mostly silent!

Yeah go to a muffler shop and ask them for a universal silencer for the muffler.

Calvin, the header makes everything louder, even your greddy. I found that out the hard way.

Default quiet

If you use a silencer your going to defete the purpose of opening up your exhaust. The whole point is more air in you have to get more air out. I changed to a hi-flow cat and picked up 17 hp I have a dyno sheet posted on this. The cat caused a little deeper tone but nothing Im not use to. If the exhaust sound is bothering you add an amp and subs. No more exhaust.
