A throw out bearing is a part of the clutch assembly. I have not heard of this happening to such a new car, are oem parts being used?

yeah the only thing I have done to my box is the drop, I have had this problem once before with my throw out bearing.
First problem at 10k miles and it was serviced under my warranty.
Second problem now at 11,600 miles, so 1600 miles later my throw out bearing is acting up again.
The first time I had this issue the sound was pretty constant when I would disengage my clutch, yesterday it was barely making a sound but the second i would apply the slightest ammount of pressure to the clutch it would go away, I drove around for about an hour and the sound eventually went away, this morning on the ride to work, I didnt hear anything at all, im not sure why its acting up, im extremely gentle with my box, not hot rodding around or anything like that, shoot I have never even popped the clutch on my box.
I have to go to the dealer on monday to have them check it out. I hope they can get it right this time around, man am I glad we have a warranty!

If it is under warranty it still gets fixed. when you take it back to the dealer it becomes a comeback, meaning the dealer will eat it now. Sounds like you ride your clutch. Two things make throwout bearings fail, riding the clutch and age.

the dealer won't fix it.

it's wear and tear.

if it' bad you hold your clutch in at stoplights and such. quick death to throwout bearings

I've got nearly 23k on my box and I hold the clutch in at stop lights, stop signs, trains, coasting, if I'm not giving it gas the clutch is in or its on cruise

I'm not riding the clutch, I'm holding it in fully, I've done this with every stick I've driven, and I've put alot of miles on standards

I've driven everything from small hondas, to big trucks( quad axle 10 speed big rig type trucks) all standards, and I hold the clutch in at every stop light/sign, it doesn't heat anything to sit there for a minute or so till you can go, if I'm going down a large hill I'll coast, clutch in, hurts nothing, it gets hotter driving then it does just idling

I've actually got a coca cola truck sitting in my yard right now that I drove home last weekend, wasn't fun to stop everytime you let off the gas the air pressure dropped to zero and the brakes locked, so you had to floor it while working the clutch and the brakes, you also had to run the clutch every time you hit the brakes

oh it was fun, and I don't think there is a coke in, like riding in a brick cause the air seat didn't work

probably just a bad part, or they just tried to fix the old one, they need to go ahead and replace the entire unit in my opinion
