^ not really. unless you have turbo or your car has alot of torque. I really doubt it. and it also causes alot of interior noise you don't want. in addition its basically a car show piece if anything

I did it to my tC and I noticed it just about got rid of skipping during starts when spinning the tires. Other than that it does create interior noise as a side effect... Really not worth the price imo

I would rather invest the money in getting better motor mounts. But as you stated you don't race so it wouldn't be worth it since with either the mounts or damper you're going to get vibration and noise.

Your stock motor rocks pretty good at a hard launch, there is a noticeable change after installing the damper.. especially in a manual trans. I think it's a must if your into hard launches, and motor mounts wouldn't be a bad investment either.. but with just the damper, the motor barely moves.

Thanks for all of your input. I definitely don't do launches so this probably wouldn't be worth it. I'm going to invest the money in the progress rear sway bar instead. I read some really positive reviews about them. Thanks everyone!

the car has 42K on it...that may be possible...does anybody make stiffer mounts? I know i can get the trans mount done...its the same as my Tercel trans mount, but the rest of the mounts are different...

You get wheel hop when you dump the clutch too quick and break the wheels loose - then they get hot and grab then slip and get hot and grab back and forth making it hop and the engine mounts winding up a little makes it worse. Try slipping the clutch a little more smoothly . . . I get launches at about 3k rpm that really pull without any tire slippage going straight that surprise me sometimes and the car behind me as it disapears in the rear view mirror.
What I do have problems with is on damp days after a rain my clutch will chatter and buck like crazy with little or no gas as I let it out and I end up taking off in 2nd gear and slipping it a lot to dry out the clutch. At the same time the brakes make the front end nose dive with the slightest pressure until they dry out too.

wheel hope can also be caused by bad struts and sway bar linkage and bushings if worn... struts usually not to be checked and or replaced if needed every 60k-70k... im talking factory to not trd... linkage on my swaybars went bad at 30k replaced em with pollys from autozone $10 for universal kit fits perfect and $20 for the ubolt bushings also universal... work perfect...

my ingalls transfered noise (even with the suggested dynamat on it), but not any real noticeable extra vibration even at full tight...its for sale if anyone wants it, it maybe has 3 weeks of driving on it max
