In a scion, I'm just going n/a.....it's not worth risking the engine with crazy boost, and when am I ever going to race a box on wheels? Unless we're talking about a car that isn't mine...i.e. the dealer car we're throwing a supercharger on tomorrow. Then I say hells yeah!

A correctly done forced induction engine is no more maint. that a high performance N/A engine.

I prefer N/A high performance engines. With programable ECUs (not re-programed) a very hot N/A engine can make great power.

hey kids boost all the way and by the way u can squiz crazy boost out of the car bone stock since it has such a low compresion rate to begin with. el prototypes should be coming out with a turbo for the xb soon. i have a turbo xa set up for rally but u guys will never get there. also my car will be turbo in about 6-7 months depends on how much spare time i have to build it so if u got turbo questions ask and ye shal receive.

My thoughts exactly. The scion needs a little more power to it but turbo is over kill for a box. Just something so the power is there when I needed.

I would personally go for the super myself. just because of the extra low end grunt it gives. perfect for city driving when you want to pass that slow moving idiot in front of you.

Unless it was a TRD installed form of forced-inducition, I'd probably stick to N/A. Some car companies state in the warranty info that if you supercharge/turbocharge your engine, it'll void the entire engine warranty. I'd bet Scions are the same way. And after sinking $15,000+ into an xB, the last thing I want to do is void my brand-new engine's warranty. Just my dos pesos.
