Default Uh.. MT issue?

I was in the parking lot at work and saw a Scion xB and so I wanted to turn around so I could park next to it and leave a note on their windshield (for SL).. so I pulled to this spot in the parking lot, in 1st, came to a stop, put it in reverse.. and the car.. I don't know.. it jumped and died as if you were in first and didn't have the right pressure on gas and clutch.. but I hadn't even taken my foot off the clutch or given it any gas yet.. the second I put the baby in reverse, it tweaked on me. It scared the crap out of me.. especially because I don't know what the hell went wrong.

So I went to go start the car back up.. and it.. wouldn't start. I was thoroughly confused and quite ____ed.. I tried again.. no start.. put it in first, no start.. pulled e-brake.. no start. Neutral, no start. So I put it in first, e-brake set, foot off clutch and brake.. removed the key.. put my foot on clutch and brake, inserted the key, turned, and it started. I was kinda shakey at that point because I was afraid something had happened to the car.. AND I was in the middle of the parking lot in a spot where cars can come from 4 directions.. it wasn't cool and I STILL don't know what happened. Does anybody have any ideas? I wasn't moving when I put her in reverse, either.

Also, the other night at a stop light the car stalled on me when a light turned green and I tried to go. To my knowledge, I was in first.. and I haven't stalled in first since I first learned to drive stick. But I've noticed lately the pressure needed on the gas and clutch going from first has changed a bit.. so maybe that's just what was happening. I could've been in 3rd at this light, too, but I don't believe I was. Not sure. But still curious about the recent change in starting from first. Anybody know anything about changes in a manual like that or anything? Let me know. Thanks.

not sure what to say since i can hardly understand what your trying to say......how long have you been driving stick?.........if you think something is wrong you could always go ask a mech. at the dealer even though they may not know but doesnt hurt
