Went in to get some brake pads today, and my trusty tech guy said "your water pump is leaking"....No worries though, "it is still under warranty".

My 05' Xb has been a champ, but to change out a water pump at 45 000 miles ?? He took me back to the shop and had my car on a lift and showed me where it was caking up on the pump with pink coolant. Seems strange to me....Kinda has me worried "after" the warranty.

I keep that car up better than the book tells us to. What would cause that?

 

There is a reason that auto manufacturers are able to sell us a car for under $15K. They use less expensive parts to accomplish that goal. In turn, the parts won't last as long!
