I agree 100% in terms of a turbocharged car, but N/A, I want a linear power band.

4-2-1 header it is, anyone know which brand has an affordable price? i heard the obx 421 header brackets don't align or something according to the part review search. if it's not a big problem to fix, i might be getting that one just because its only about 150 on ebay ...

I've been running a OBX stainless header since 2007, nice piece with THICK flanges. I've had no issues and would buy another.

I might look into this then. What's the best site to purchase an OBX? Ebay, eek.

I found $157 shipped for the stainless steel version.

I agree that midrange is more important than top end for normal use.

The ceramic might need wrapping or a cover, I believe the stainless steel ones are fine.

My Megan has been on for over a year and it's SS and not wrapped or anything.

I have had the DC ceramic header for over 3 years, still looks the same as the day i installed it, and never any heat issues. like the top end power too!

sorry my mistake, i looked it up. ss doesn't need to be wrapped, but it gets hotter than ceramic, ceramic just keeps the temp lower.

btw zman if you do end up getting the obx header, put a review up in the part section thanks :]

I read that it doesn't fit correctly or something?

Now I'm skeptical.

Is OBX a good brand?

Is it true that it was only made for the bB? I read it doesn't fit right.

I would imagine it should fit.

the reviews on this site are a few years back, that's why i'm wondering if obx fixed the fitment issue. i'm not really expecting that much gain since i got a xA, so i would go obx instead of weapon r, save the money and work on something else ;P

well after doing a couple weeks worth of research I think I am going to buy the DME... I like the collector and the quality in the pics I have seen look pretty good... plus I see that it has the threaded holes in the collector etc. so it shouldn't have to be modded at all the fit well... I think the 4-1 with equal length primaries will help this car since I am installing the nitrous anyday now...

Ha, so get the OBX and let us know!
I'm on the fence, but every time I hear my Megan header make this annoying whine at 5-6K I want to sell it!

I have an obx header and it didn't align correctly at all. I had to jerry rig it to get it to fit, even then it's still crooked. I definitely would not recommend OBX... Although I did buy it from ebay, so the seller might have sold me an obx header for a RHD car. All know is that the fitment sucks on mine.
