even stock parts are insane expensive. but yes it can get 800hp if you throw enough money at it , it will also blow up on you
but if you don't have to do it again and again it's not as fun.

What would be used as a trans? I'm in the middle of swapping the original 1NZ from that 350 V8 xB into mine as a replacement, and it is tight fit (threw a rod, dealer blamed the TRD intake, long story). Fed the 1NZ in topside and with the crankshaft pulley off, there is about 1/2" of wiggle room between the side rails. I'm assuming the 1AZ is longer. transmission housing is also paper thin and there is a very tight tolerance on the flywheel.

well, for the 1NZFE, the original trans is a C50 with the shorter 4. something final drive.
as for a few trannys that may be talked about here. one is a C59 which is used on the 1ZZFE which is similar to the C50 but is heavier duty, slightly longer gears and slightly bigger. the 2AZFE uses the same tranny as the xB and xA or could very well be a C54 which is again, similar but it's first and second are slightly longer and the internals are a bit stronger. if you want to do an upgrade on your tranny side aswell *i know your story and know your plans* you could go with a C59, i believe it does mat right up to the 1NZFE, if the C60 does then the C59 is more then likely to do it aswell *the C60 is on the 2ZZGE which is the RPM based version of the 1ZZFE, same block just different head.*. the C59 has loads of aftermarket support with Quaife like straight cut dog engagement gear kits with longer or shorter final drives and everything. h3ll, they might even have a strain gauge system ready for it to to get it as close as possible to a sequential tranny if you wanted...
as for the 3SGTE, it uses an E151, E152 and E153 *E151 being the first street version, the E152 being the rally spec'ed that only had a longer final drive and the E153 being the newer version of the E151.* all are AWD capable trannies, i have no clue whether or not they mat to the 1NZFE or either one of the ZZ engines. as soon as i can really get down and get my hands dirty on my 3S project and have a E tranny handy, i'll see if the bell housings can be swapped around to see if it'll mat to the 1NZFE.
a buddy of mine and i were thinking after we're done with the 3S project, that we would use the 1NZFE in a small go-cart like thing. build it slightly with a turbo and have one h3ll of a little country side fun day on some dirt roads . if the E tranny can be matted to the 1NZFE... AWD fun day .
